Doctor Joseph A Shehadi, MD is a board certified Neurosurgeon. He is originally from Buffalo, New York. He attending University of Rochester for Undergraduate majoring in Neuroscience. He then attending University of Rochester School of Medicine graduating with honors and Distinction in Research. He has had the distinct honor of training at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, as well as at Washington University, McGill University,  University of Toronto and lastly fellowship training in Neurosurgical Oncology at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

For the past twenty years he has been in private practice, most of which was at a Level I trauma Center in Columbus.

He has always treated his patient with state of the art neurosurgical care and most importantly with compassion and honesty. He interacts with his patients like family as his numerous online reviews reflect. He would be honored to take care of you and any of your loved ones.

Anterior Cervical discetomy Fusion (ACDF)

An anterior cervical discectomy is a common neurosurgical procedure done for symptomatic cervical herniated discs that fail conservative therapy. Conservative therapy includes PT, Medications and sometimes spinal pain injections.

Spinal cord Stimulator Placement

Spinal cord stimulators are indicated for patients with chronic pain syndromes. This is a procedure that is less invasive than a spinal fusion and yet has high effectiveness. It uses small current to confuse the spinal cord pain sensors and is a good alternative to multiple spinal surgeries and the numberous side effects of chronic narcotic use.

A lumbar laminectomy is one of the most comonly performed procedures in spine surgery. It is used to treat either a lumbar herniated disc or lumbar spinal stenosis, which cause pinched nerves and pain. The concept is simple, decompress to alleviate whatever is pressing on the nerves.
